Caspian Business Award presented to Chairman of Government of Autonomous Republic of Adjara

08.09.2025

The Caspian Energy Club delegation made a business visit to the city of Batumi on September 4, 2025.

Based on the results of a global poll conducted by the Caspian Energy Club among over 3,700 entrepreneurs and businesspeople from 50 countries, the Autonomous Republic of Adjara was presented with the Caspian Business Award in the ‘Best Region for Investment in the Tourism Sector’ category.

The award was presented to the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Mr. Sulkhan Tamazashvili. The Minister of Finance and Economy of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Mr. Ednar Nataridze, also participated in the event.

It should be noted that the primary aim of the poll was to explore the investment potential in over 200 regions and provinces across eight countries along the Middle Corridor, determine the most attractive areas for investment, and at the same time evaluate the prospects for the development of international business in these regions in an objective manner.

It is worth noting that the results of the survey, carried out every year for the past 20 years, have been made available to potential investors to support their investment decision-making.

Starting this year, the Caspian Business Award will be presented to the heads of regions and provinces that score the highest number of votes.

The sailing ship, the symbol of the award, embodies progress, the surmounting of challenges, and the contributions of a leading team that underpins the path to achievement. The symbol represents both growth and the strength of collaborative teamwork.

By the end of this year, the international ‘Caspian Business Award’ will be presented to the heads of regions in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, and Turkmenistan.
