About the company: Azerishig OJSC was established on the basis of Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC (Baku electricity grid) by the order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, dated February 10, 2015. Purchasing electricity within Azerbaijan, Azerishig OJSC is supplying electricity to consumers in reliable, safe and efficient manner, introduces new technologies in this field, upgrades a material-technical base, ensuring its efficient use, as well as performs other activities with the aim to develop this area.
Since 2015, 4 units of 110kV substations and a circular supply scheme have been constructed. It played an important role in ensuring regular, sustainable and high-quality power supply. To date, 152 units of 35 kV substations have been constructed. Since 2006, an installed capacity of the power grid has been increased 4,5 times, while technical losses have been reduced down to 8.9%. A modern distribution control center was established. Azerishig carries out reconstruction of all its administrative buildings and attaches special importance to introduction of information-communication technologies. Prior to 2006, the power supply had not met the requirements driven by the rapid social-economic development of the country, while now this balance improved as additional technical and power capacities, ensuring perspective development of the country, were created.
There is a call center #199 operating at Azerishig. Consumers can receive answers to all their questions in 24/7.
Wind farms in Yeni Yasma and Shurabad settlements were passed to Azerishig OJSC in order to increase the efficiency of the wind energy use. This can be a start of the new stage for the OJSC.
