Namiq Mammadov

Namiq Məmmədov is an Azerbaijani public figure and businessman born on February 1, 1976, in the city of Böyük Qarakilsə in Western Azerbaijan. He moved to Baku together with his family and continued his secondary education at various schools. He received higher education at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, specializing in “Engineering Economics and Management.” Later, he studied law at Baku State University as well as at Kutafin Moscow State Law University. He began his professional career in managerial and executive positions at various companies, and since 2008 has served as Chairman of the Board of Caspel. During his leadership, the company has participated in the implementation of a number of major projects in the fields of information technology, digital transformation, and system integration. As part of his public activities, he served as a member of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Council and participated in the implementation of various initiatives and projects in the fields of information technology, management, and innovation. On February 6, 2014, by decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, he was awarded the “Tərəqqi” Medal for his contributions to the development of the information and communication technologies sector. He is married and has two children.
