Caspian Energy Club members visit Estonia
Caspian Energy Club members made a working visit to Estonia’s capital Tallinn on May 29-30. This was said by Caspian Energy Club International’s Managing Director Gunel Guliyeva.
The Caspian Energy Club members, the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia and Kaili Terras, Ambassador at large for Education, Economic Diplomacy Department, joined the Demo Day which took place on May 29.
“We extend our deep gratitude to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Azerbaijan Republic to Estonia and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Azerbaijan Jaak Lensment for the support they provided to Caspian Energy Club”, Caspian Energy Club International’s Managing Director Gunel Guliyeva said.
During the speech at the event, Caspian Energy Club Chairman and Group CEO Telman Aliyev spoke about the relations between the two countries. Owing to the LEF network Azerbaijan program we witnessed a much broader expansion of the economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Estonia. We, on our part, will make all efforts for building new relationship bridges between the private sectors of the two countries. I would like to note that we have seen great interest of ICT and education companies toward Estonia in the course of the visit”, Caspian Energy Club Chairman and Group CEO Telman Aliyev said.
He also informed about the details of the meeting held between Caspian Energy Club member companies and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Azerbaijan Republic to Estonia Mr. Anar Maharramov. “We are grateful to Mr. Ambassador for receiving our delegation and arranging the meeting on the highest level. As Caspian Energy Club, we will keep supporting entrepreneurs who have mutual interests in Azerbaijan and Estonia, and enhancing the development of bilateral ties.
“In Latvia which we have visited earlier, and in Finland which we are going to visit, there is a big demand and prospects for not only ICT, green technology and education companies, but also for different types of products made in Azerbaijan. In our next visits we will do our best to ensure the entry of companies we mentioned and products into the markets of Latvia, Estonia and Finland”, Caspian Energy Club Chairman and Group CEO Telman Aliyev said.
Such companies as DreamApply, kood/Jõhvi, Lingvist, SpeakTX, and LaavaTech made presentations during the meeting. Then, the event continued with B2B meetings between Azerbaijani and Estonian companies.
“We got an opportunity to meet with our fellow countrymen working in different sectors of the Estonian economy. It was extremely encouraging to see our companies and their products at external markets”, Caspian Energy Club International’s Managing Director Gunel Guliyeva said and added that certain companies participating in the business visit had held meetings with representatives of the Tallinn University of Technology and Tallinn University.
On May 30, Caspian Energy Club members visited the e-Estonia Briefing Center and learned about Estonia’s experience in digital services and know-how. It is noteworthy that the center was established as an NGO in 2009 and today is a part of the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency.
The House of Azerbaijan in Estonia was visited on the same day. “We extend our gratitude to the Estonian Chamber of Industry and Commerce for the organization work”, Caspian Energy Club International’s Managing Director Gunel Guliyeva said.
